- 2004 Inductee into Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame
- 37 years in coaching
- Recognized as one of the best in the teaching of fundamentals at all levels
- 26 years as coach at Transylvania University with more wins than any coach in history (509 - 241)

- 27 years conducting basketball camps - over 40,000 campers
- NAIA/NABC National Coach of the Year 2001
- Basketball Times National Coach of the Year 2001
- NAIA National Coach of the Year 2001
- Member of the NAIA Hall of Fame
- Member of the Transylvania Hall of Fame
- Member of the Union College Hall of Fame
- Tenured Professor of Physical Education at Transylvania University
- Retired from NAIA coaching, but is still active as clinician, consultant, and camp director
